Building photoThis 22 unit building received a 15 panel solar hot water system projected to reduce emissions equivalent to removal of 1.5 cars from the road, while saving the owner approximately $2,875 per year in fuel costs, and producing a return on investment over of 18%.

Before and after gas use - actual numbersThe brown bars show 'before' gas use. The lower green bars show 'after' gas use. Savings average out to 1,506 ccf/year. Remarkably the RETScreen software we used predicted (with incredible accuracy) 1,503ccf/year annual energy savings. Priced at $1.877/ccf = $2,827 saved per year.

15 Panel solar collector arrayThis array contains 15) 4'x 8' selective surface flat plate collectors. On a sunny day it collects solar heat equivalent to roughly 5 gallons of fuel oil.

Maintenance free racks. These custom built maintenance free racks securely hold the collectors at an angle optimal for year round solar collection.

2,000 gallon drainback tankThis 8' diameter x 7' high tank can store enough solar heat to preheat multiple days worth of hot water. It was site built by Rushforth Solar.
